Kalen Moss finished first at the Kansas History Day State competition with her Individual Exhibit on Lewis Hine. This has qualified her to compete at the National History Day competition in College Park, MD from June 15-19. Congratulations Kalen!
Congratulations to the TSA competitors of last week! The Hillsboro results for the Kansas TSA State Competitive Events Conference are as follows: Erich Herbel, Garrett Foster & Jonathan Hinerman - 4th place - System Control Technology, Erich Herbel & Garrett Foster - 1st place - Structural Engineering, Carson Herbel & Jonathan Hinerman - 2nd place - Structural Engineering, Erich Herbel - 1st place - Flight Endurance, Matthew Denholm - 2nd place - Flight Endurance, Garrett Foster - 1st place - Dragster Design, Erich Herbel - 2nd place - Dragster Design, Nathan Simhiser - 3rd place - Dragster Design. The conference was also privileged to have the presence of the Kansas Deputy Commissioner of Education Brad Neuenswander, and Kansas Assistant Director of Career and Technical Education Jay Scott and CTE Information Technology Consultant RJ Dake. Once again, congratulations on a job well done!
Good luck to the track team competing at Halstead. Teams competing today include Hesston, Inman, Halstead, Remington and Hillsboro. Track athletes are dismissed at 2:30 pm today. Meet time is 4:30 pm.
Boy’s tennis competes at home today. Dismissal time is 1:45 pm with the meet beginning at 3 pm. Good luck guys!

The Hillsboro High School LEOS are sponsoring a community service scholarship available to HHS seniors who have been part of a service organization. Awards will be based on years of participation and an essay. Applications are available from Mr. Woelk. Deadline is Friday.
The Hillsboro Star Journal is offering a free classified ad for any student looking for a summer job. Stop by the office to pick up the form.
FCA would like to invite you to join them as they meet tomorrow. They will be meeting at 7:30 am to have a short devotional. If you want to attend FCA meet by the Middle School Lobby and someone will show you where to go. They ask you to be on time because of the short window of time they have. Donuts will be provided. All are welcome to attend!
