6-8 announcements

Stuco: Reps need to meet with Mrs. Noble today during LS. This meeting will be held to discuss two very important upcoming events.  Please make sure you are present.

Track: No practice tonight.

April Trojan Buck winners: Surinda Bell (Mrs. Sinclair), AJ Driggers (Mrs. Melton), Jaxxon Hanschu (Mrs. Noble)

Girls Basketball: Middle School Girls this is a reminder that all Summer Basketball Team Camp Registration Forms are due back to Coach Hiebert by today. Team Camp is going to be May 31 to June 3.  We will be in the High School gym.  We will conduct both High School 9-12 and Middle School 7 & 8 at the same time. 

Physicals: Students currently in 6th-11th grades, who plan to participate in any school sports and/or high school PE classes next school year, are invited to receive a FREE sports physical from the healthcare providers at Hillsboro Community Hospital.  This exam will be valid for the 2016-2017 school year. There are places for students and parents to sign on the forms. Please turn these papers into the office by Friday, May 6th. The exams will be conducted in the mornings on Tuesday, May 10, and Wednesday, May 11 at the Middle/High School.  The free exams are only on these two days.

Micah Ratzlaff basketball camp: For any 6th-8th graders interested, there are forms outside Mr. Rempel’s office.

8th graders: Baby photos are due today! Please turn them into the office or email to jessica.fine@usd410.net

9-12 announcements

State Forensics results: Congratulations to the Forensics team for their accomplishments at State Speech and Drama.  The team placed 6th out of 35 teams.  Chloe Pankratz placed 6th in Poetry; Kalen Moss placed 3rd in Oration; and SaRae Roberts placed 2nd in Oration.

FFA: FFA Members we have track concessions today right after school. If you are available Mrs. Roberts could use your assistance.

GAP food drive: GAP Club will be hosting a food drive next week, Monday May 2nd through Friday May 6th for the Main Street Ministries Food Bank. This will be a class competition. Points will be awarded for each item based on the posted point system (see signs around school). The winning class will receive a free LS!

Track: Good luck to the Track and Field Athletes competing today at the James Thomas Invitational. Athletes competing are reminded they are dismissed 8th hour today to dress and head to the stadium.

All Track Athletes are reminded to pick up their box lunch at the concession stand tonight at the meet.

Seniors: The deadline to apply for the annual LEOS scholarship is Monday, May 9, 2016. Awards will be based on participation in community service while in high school. LEOS members are especially encouraged to apply. A short essay is required. See Mr. Woelk for an application or for details.

Senior library announcements: All Senior library books are due May 2nd.

-All textbooks for online courses handled through the WMC are to be returned the day your last assignment, project, and/or the final is due for that class.

-If you don't remember what you have checked out, please come to the WMC for a list.

-All library materials checked out to you must be returned on or before the dates listed above. Any item not returned to the library will be charged to your account and must be paid before leaving school on your last day.

Juniors and Seniors: On, Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4, Juniors and Seniors will have a 2 hour late start.  We will be completing our ACT Aspire tests for 6th through 10th grade from 8:00-10:00 each of those days. Juniors and seniors WILL NOT attend school during that time.  First Period will begin at 10:00 and we have no LS 

Bus routes will still run at regular time. 

If you have college classes that are meeting, those will be scheduled as they usually are, so you will need to attend those
